Don't forget that Crab Feed tickets need to be purchased before June 15th! This is so that we have a chance to order the crab from Capt. Bob's! You can purchase your tickets via PayPal right here on the blog on the right-hand side. Make sure you're using the top drop-down box that says Crab Feed. Your tickets will be mailed right to you. If you are local and would like to arrange to exchange tickets and payment you can email jtsfoundation@gmail.com

Join us for fresh steamed hot blue crabs, chips, pasta salad and other side dishes and dessert. BYOB with limited mixers like cranberry juice available. 50/50 raffle, basket raffle and raffle of leftover crab.

If you cannot make it to the Crab Feed don't forget our largest event of the year, the JTS Memorial Luncheon will be held on August 27, 2011 at the Great American Saloon in Red Lion, PA.

In other news: A big congratulations to Eli Sidler, a brave cancer warrior and friend, and his family for shrunken tumors in his lungs and no signs of cancer in his spine. You continue to inspire us Eli. We love you!

Making Moves

Yesterday was a big day for the JTS Foundation! We finally have raised enough money to pay for the ridiculously expensive 501(c)(3) application and we sent it off to the IRS! Thank you to all of our friends who posted and re-posted the information about the Crab Feed and bracelets on Twitter and Facebook. This next phase, which is the last phase, could take anywhere from 3 weeks to 8 months. Cross your fingers we get the speedy end of the deal!

Have you looked at our Crab Feed event on Facebook? You should.

After mailing our 501(c)(3) application we stopped in and met with Louise at Wisehaven where we will be having the Crab Feed. Louise worked at Wisehaven for many years, was away from her job there and is now back. Many of you who live in this area may know that things at Wisehaven were not as peachy without her and it's important for you to know that she is back and she is fantastic at what she does! You can check out Wisehaven on their Facebook page and website.

The crab feed will be in the Terrace Room at Wisehaven and will have outdoor eating space on the deck. Just a reminder, it is BYOB and we will have a small selection of mixers available as well (ex. cranberry juice).  Don't forget to get your tickets! The last day to purchase tickets will be June 15th so that we can order the crab. If you miss the crab feed you'll be missing out on basket raffles, 50/50 raffle and a crab raffle! Who wants to miss that?
