3rd Annual JTS Memorial Luncheon

We are proud and happy to announce information for our 3rd Annual Memorial Luncheon! This is always a yearly community favorite and we love the overwhelming support and large turnout it brings.

This event is key to our success throughout the year as a Foundation and our ability to support local families, the outpatient clinic at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital and the Sunshine Sounds Music Program at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. Because of your amazing love and support - we are able to do this!

This year's luncheon will also be a celebration of Jed's 15th birthday. We look forward to spending the afternoon with all of you remembering Jed and the other special kids who have lost their battles. We will toast to them!

Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for high school age volunteers for our annual luncheon on September 29th! 


This event is held at the Great American Saloon in Red Lion, PA. Volunteers will be needed from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. to assist at various stations. 


Responsibilities will include: set up/tear down, ticket sales at the door, merchandise sales, raffle ticket sales, running the silent auction and assisting with kids activities. 


Volunteers will be able to eat lunch and will not pay an admission fee. We will need your full name, age, cell phone number and email address. If needed, volunteers can receive community service credit for school through us; please just let us know and we will provide the appropriate paperwork.

2nd Annual JTSF Crab Feed

We cannot thank our donors, volunteers and supporters enough for making this past weekend a success. Thank you to our family and friends who joined us in the fight against childhood cancer.
We loved seeing new faces enjoying our event and hope that those faces will become regulars! Because of your support and commitment to our mission we raised $3,384.63!

Thank you so much again! Because of you, we can make a huge difference for so many families. 

Crab Feed: Directions & Important Information

We are really looking forward to seeing you all this weekend and cannot thank you enough for your overwhelming support over the last few months! 


Because of you, we were able to nearly double our ticket sales from last year. We are looking forward to a fantastic event and even more growth going into next year. 


Below are some things that you may need to know if you are unfamiliar with the location for this year's event. 


The address for our friends who use GPS is 2985 East Prospect Road, York, PA 17402.

Parking: 


You will enter the parking lot of Wisehaven Banquet and Expo Center (also the home of Wisehaven Tennis Center and Wisehaven Pool) and drive straight towards the building in front of you. 


Please continue on to the upper left parking lot. This is visible from the road, you cannot miss it! It is reserved for the Banquet Center and will be our designated parking for the day of the event. Please, try your best to park in this parking lot only! Thank you!


Entrance: 


Our event is held in the Terrace Room at Wisehaven Banquet and Expo Center. Upon parking in the upper parking lot, the Terrace Room is at the top of the building. Enter under the long covered portico and through the glass doors. Note: We are NOT in the Grand Ballroom (the main entrance off the lower parking lot) and you cannot get to us from there!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances at our current venue we are unable to have our regular 50/50 raffle this year. We apologize for how late this announcement is coming however, we were unaware of this until 7/12/2012. We extend our apologies to anyone who was looking forward to this raffle (as we are always looking forward to it as well). Crab Feed Updates!

Jedediah Thomas Smith 2nd Annual Crab Feed 

Terrace Room at Wisehaven Banquet and Expo Center - York, Pa

Saturday, July 14, 2012 

1 p.m. - 5 p.m. 

There are only two weeks left to purchase your tickets for the JTSF Annual Crab Feed!
Tickets must be purchased by June 30th (this allows us to secure the appropriate amount of crabs). There are two ways to purchase tickets:

1) On the right hand side of this blog, there is a PayPal checkout button. Select the amount of tickets you need and we will mail them to you! If you are purchasing a larger number of tickets that is not listed in the drop-down you will need to do two check-outs. We will reimburse you for shipping. The tickets you purchase will be mailed to your PayPal mailing address, so double check that!

2) To pay by cash or check - simply mail the payment to 233 N. Charles St., Red Lion, PA 17356. Be sure to include the desired number of tickets and a return address and we will promptly mail your tickets back to you! Checks can be made out to the JTS Foundation. Thank you!

Tickets are $30 for adults, $10 for kids under age 10 and admission is free for the little ones under 3.

Your ticket includes all-you-can-eat fresh steamed Maryland blue crabs provided by She's Got Crabs, pork BBQ, hot dogs, macaroni salad, pasta salad, cole slaw (and more picnic sides!), chips, and tons of desserts!

Alcoholic beverages are BYOB (some may be available for a small donation), and tea, water and soda will be provided.

There will be music, a kid-friendly area with games and activities, outdoor seating and a very entertaining volunteer staff!
