JTSF Holiday Toy Drive

ToyCollection

Be a part of our holiday toy collection for the Penn State Hershey Pediatric Oncology Outpatient Pavilion!

The outpatient clinic in the new PSHCH is often overlooked during the holidays while the in-patient floors are inundated with donations of all kinds. However, the clinic sees kids almost all days of the year and sees children for blood transfusions, chemotherapy infusions and treatments that take hours even on Christmas Eve.

Join us in donating toys, games, craft kids and small electronics for these kids of all ages for the second year!

Special requests from the clinic are:
  • Legos
  • Craft kits of any kind
  • Character items from any of the current Disney & Pixar DVD (Brave, Madagascar 3, Disney Princesses)
  • Play-Doh Kits
  • Toiletry Sets (for teens with the body gel, lotion, cologne or perfume)
  • New release DVD’s (rated PG-13 and under)
  • Nintendo DS Games.
Please keep in mind that everything must be new and in packages because of health and safety standards for these very special and amazing kids! Items for pre-teens/teens and also babies are needed!

Donations can be shipped to:

The Jedediah Thomas Smith Foundation (JTSF)
233 N. Charles St., Red Lion, PA 17356

or dropped off at the same address!

We love all of you and are so grateful for your constant support!

Courtney & Scott | Married

We are thankful for the opportunity to play a part in Courtney and Scott's autumn wedding at Penn State Hershey Medical Center a few weeks ago. Thank you to all of you who donated and helped us give Courtney the wedding of her dreams.

We were able to cover flowers, reception food, wedding bands, the marriage license, the groom's gift, a special gift for the bride and a number of other wedding details for this special day thanks to local business partners and all of you!

We wish all the best to Courtney and Scott!

Macklin's Cupcake Night

We had a very successful fundraiser night at Macklin's Cupcakes and Coffee in York on Monday! Thank you to everyone who helped us make this the best rebate night that Macklin's has ever offered! We are so very appreciative.

Community Support: A Wedding!

The Jedediah Thomas Smith Foundation needs your help! We have the amazing opportunity to assist with the wedding of a 19-year-old young woman battling relapsed AML at Hershey Medical Center. She and her fiance were engaged to be married next fall but after another relapse this week the wedding was been moved to this coming Saturday, 11/10/2012. The ceremony will take place in the Chapel at HMC with a reception at the hospital to follow as the bride is in-patient.

This young woman has already endured two bone marrow transplants and many years of harsh treatments. We as a foundation are small but we feel very blessed to help make her dreams come true and give her the opportunity to marry her fiance this weekend!

We are asking for your help to offset the costs of the ceremony as we are using funds that typically are used to pay for toys and activities for the HMC pediatric clinic. We understand that everyone is struggling but we thank you those of you who are able to contribute anything so deeply!

Please help us in assisting to provide a beautiful day for this young woman and her soon-to-be husband! The memories made will sustain her throughout the rough days ahead and her family for years.

You can donate online above or mail checks to 233 N. Charles St., Red Lion, PA 17356.

For questions, please email jtsfoundation@gmail.com.

We are sending many, many thanks to the amazing people who have stepped up to be a part of this wedding in just the last 48 hours! We feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing community.
